Resort time in New York…….

The traditional role of a resort collection, is to add a little extra to the customer’s spirits and wardrobe in the middle of winter……but maybe with all these weather changes, it will one day be summer when it gets released…..these are my ultimate current favourites….Stella MacCartney showed some perfectly cut styles…..Marc Jacobs is shining again, his sixties looks were evocative of a young Marisa Berenson in US Vogue, Elizabeth Taylor and most of all Faye Dunaway in the Thomas Crown Affair….he captured the neatness and chicness of the sixties……3.1 Phillip Lim was so dreamy seventies, these styles I would wear without hesitation, they have a certain vintage feeling I look for in everything I love….inspired by Bianca Jagger, they most definitely wouldn’t look out of place in the VIP area of Studio 54…..but it was Chloe Sevigny’s 3rd collection for Opening Ceremony that brought back the memory of all my teenage summers, Martha Plimpton being my biggest inspiration of what was cool, she showed how perfect a floral vintage 30′s dress could be with a cropped denim jacket or how men’s brogues went with everything……..Chloe Sevigny today makes vintage as modern as tomorrow….
